on 7 January according to the oldJulian calendar.
ZAGREB, Jan 4 (Hina) - Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Wednesday
wrote to Jovan Pavlovic, the Serb Orthodox Metropolitan Bishop of Zagreb,
Ljubljana and Italy, extending his best wishes for Christmas, which the
Orthodox faithful celebrate on 7 January according to the old Julian
calendar. "May the holiday of the newborn Christ bring you peace,
good health and strength in the spiritual leadership of the people, and
encourage them to follow the path lit by love, peace, justice and cooperation.
May it bring you joy and courage before all the challenges we will meet
together in 2006," the Croatian prime minister said in his message.
"May the peace of God be with you, the Christ is born!", the message
said.
