The Bureau started doing the Survey every three months instead of twice a year in accordance with Eurostat's recommendations.
The Survey was conducted in accordance with rules and principles of the International Labour Organisation and Eurostat, which is a prerequisite for comparing Croatian figures with other countries.
The data from the Labour Force Survey on the number of the jobless and the unemployment rate is lower than data from administrative sources or the Croatian Employment Bureau.
Croatia had 197,000 jobless in this year's first three months, of which 107,000 were women, according to the Labour Force Survey.
The unemployment rate among men was 9.4% and among women 13.4%.
In this year's first quarter Croatia had 1.563 million employed persons, of which 869,000 were men and 693,000 women.
The employment rate was 42.8%, the rate among men was 50.9% and only 35.7% among women.
