Macedonia's request and decided to send one of its Canadair aircraft and a

sent a letter to his Croatian counterpart Ivo Sanader asking for assistance of
Croatian air fire-fighting forces in putting down the fire that broke out
several days ago.
After consulting the chief fire- fighting commander, Mladen Jurin, the
Croatian government decided today during its telephone session to send its
Canadair and members of the armed forces to Macedonia.
