BELGRADE, July 3 (Hina) - Serbian President Boris Tadic and his Bosnian counterpart Nebojsa Radmanovic said in Belgrade on Tuesday that a continuation of talks on the future status of the breakaway Serbian province of Kosovo was important for the stability of the region.

"We expect negotiations on the future status of Kosovo to be renewed, and the future status of Kosovo will obviously have repercussions on the internal affairs of every regional country, not just in the Balkans, but in some other regions of the world as well," Tadic said at a joint press conference after the meeting.

Radmanovic said that Kosovo's status was an unavoidable topic for discussion and that it was "a serious security problem not just for Serbia, but for entire Southeast Europe."

Radmanovic said that he and the two other members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina believed that relations between Belgrade and Pristina should be settled at the negotiating table, and that this was particularly important for Bosnia and Herzegovina "because it's made up of two entities."

Speaking of relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tadic said that "Serbia is sincerely interested in strengthening relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and supports the Dayton agreement on the basis of which the modern Bosnia and Herzegovina was formed."
