Representatives of the three countries signed a joint statement confirming their wish to join NATO and expressing gratitude to the Unites States, NATO and the EU on their support.
The participants in the meeting confirmed their interest to promote democratic values concerning the defence, such as the democratic control of the armed forces, as well as principles concerning regional security, the statement said adding that all three countries would continue to make efforts to adopt legal regulations necessary for meeting NATO and EU criteria.
The statement also expressed support to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia and their aspirations to join Euro-Atlantic associations and supported Martti Ahtisaari's plan for Kosovo.
