PRISTINA, May 28 (Hina) - Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku on
Monday publicly admitted for the first time that the issue of the UN-govern
province seeking independence did not depend on Kosovo authorities but on
international factors, adding, however, that the province would declare
independence on the day the UN Security Council adopts a new resolution. Speaking during a visit to the municipality of Srbica in western Kosovo,
Ceku also expressed confidence that this day would come soon, stressing that
friends and international allies would not allow the stalling of this process.
He, however, did not go into details about a possible day of the adoption of a
new resolution on Kosovo.
The Kosovo PM called on political leaders and people of Kosovo to
preserve political unity, stability, partnership and trust while waiting for
the adoption of a new resolution.
