The ceremony, held in the town 40 kilometres south-west of Zagreb, was attended by Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Interior Minister Ivica Kirin, who took over the vehicles on behalf of his ministry.
Mesic praised the IM Metal company, which is a part of the Daimler-Chrysler consortium, for having set a model of successful adoption of modern technology and cooperating with driving forces in this industry.
Kirin recalled that today's delivery was a part of an agreement on the provision to 210 vehicles for fire-fighting units throughout Croatia. The vehicles are to be supplied by the Croatian-Austrian consortium "Daimler Chrysler export and trade finance GmbH".
The agreement on the supply is worth 85 million euros.
Since 2003 a total of 126 fire-fighting vehicles have been delivered.
