Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Musharraf said that the purpose of his visit was the promotion of economic relations. He added that the two countries would continue to cooperate in fighting terrorism.
The Pakistani president said that Bosnia's rich historical experience of a multi-confessional community made it qualified, despite the conflicts of the early 1990s, to show the world how different religions can build harmonious relations.
The Chairman of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency, Nebojsa Radmanovic, thanked Musharraf for his contribution to peace in Bosnia-Herzegovina and for Pakistan's help in the post-war reconstruction of Bosnia.
The Pakistani delegation and Bosnian authorities today signed agreements on air transport, cooperation in the defence industry, and on the establishment of a joint economic commission, and exchanged ratification documents for an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation.
