"The Science, Education and Sport Ministry offers logistics, and it is the commission that chooses textbooks," the minister said responding to questions from the press in Split on the controversies over the textbooks by authors Snjezana Koren and Kresimir Erdelja and Igor Stojakovic.
According to reactions of many others, the minister believes that the Commission has done its job well.
Primorac explained that the ministry's task has been to formulate a plan and curriculum which has for the first time included all the elements of the Homeland Defence War, such as the Flash and Storm operations, terrorism, the Ovcara massacre site and all atrocities committed against Croatian citizens, and which has clearly stated that the Homeland Defence War was a defence war and that Croatia was exposed to aggression.
"This is what the Ministry should do and all others have been bound to respect the plan and curriculum of the Ministry," he said, adding that according to information available to him, the Commission has made a decision acceptable for a majority of citizens and if there are some ambiguities in any specific segment, the Commission must present its position.
The minister said that he placed full confidence in the commission comprised of experts with at least three of them having been engaged in the Homeland Defence War.
