The document, entitled "The Bosniaks in the Republic of Croatia 2007-2011", aims to bring together representatives of all Bosniak associations in the country with a view to establishing the Bosniak national name.
SDA leader Semso Tankovic said that the main problem of the Bosniaks in Croatia was that there were still political forces in the country that identified the Bosniak community by using the outdated term, Muslims. "To our satisfaction, positive steps forward have been made in some areas regarding this issue," he added.
Speaking of his party's successes, he cited an agreement with the government of Prime Minister Ivo Sanader which made it possible for the problem of citizenship certificates for Bosniaks to be resolved in a satisfactory manner.
Tankovic said he expected the SDA to win at least two seats in the Sabor after next parliamentary elections, due in November.
