The two officials said bilateral relations were friendly and that there was plenty of room to increase trade, notably in energy, construction and shipbuilding.
They applauded the initiatives of a mixed economic commission and agreed it was necessary to keep in touch and find appropriate provisions which would stimulate economic cooperation.
Bagheri suggested that Croatian and Iranian companies should launch joint ventures in the Middle East.
He was also received by the president of the Croatian-Iranian Friendship Group in the Croatian parliament, Semso Tankovic. The two officials underlined the importance of nurturing interparliamentary cooperation.
The Iranian parliament's Iranian-Croatian Friendship Group will soon visit the Sabor as well as Sisak-Moslavina County, which is interested in establishing closer ties with Iran, the statement said.
