The book, prepared by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), together with the Croatian Government and the Croatian Red Cross, lists the names of 2,384 persons still unaccounted for in relation to the Homeland Defence War, i.e. who went missing from October 1990 to November 1995.
All Croatian Red Cross and ICRC offices have books that are available to interested parties to get an insight in the material.
At the ceremony of its presentation in Zagreb, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said the book confirmed the government's accuracy and impartiality in tackling the issue of missing persons.
The telephone line 062 111 111 is open around the clock for any information that can be given about the missing persons.
The ICRC regional representative, who is based in Budapest, Daniel Cavoli, said that in the course of this year the ICRC would hand over to the Croatian Red Cross files about missing persons, which means that the Croatian Red Cross would assume the responsibility for keeping those files.
