The discussion was held behind closed doors, said Gordan Jandrokovic, who chaired today's session.
According to unofficial information, some committee members were against mentioning the law on the national broadcasting company (HRT) in the negotiating position.
The text of the draft reads that the government would consider amendments and changes to the HRT Law in its segment relating to the election of the Programmes Council with the aim of strengthening the role of civil society in the procedure.
Representatives of Opposition parties on the committee said they would insist on removing that segment of the text as they believe that the HRT Law is not a part of the European acquis communautaire, which is why it cannot be a matter of negotiations.
