Nearly 14 million kuna from the state budget will be required for this purpose.
Health Minister Neven Ljubicic said that his ministry had launched an intervention cardiology project in August 2005 and since then the incidence of deaths caused by myocardial infarction had fallen by 20 percent.
The government sent to parliament a contract between Croatia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) regulating guarantees for an EUR 40 million EBRD loan for the construction of a ring-road by the seaport of Rijeka.
This project is assessed at 85.5 million euros, and its completion is expected by the end of 2008.
The government sent to parliament for ratification an agreement on financing 20 Phare projects.
Under the Phare programme, the European Union will finance those projects with 61.1 million euros, and Zagreb with 7.2 million euros.
The parliament was asked to ratify an agreement on financing projects aimed at enhancing nuclear safety by the European Union. This project is worth 6.2 million kuna.
