Jocic will be remanded in custody for two more months due to the gravity of the crime he is suspected of having committed and due to the fact that prison terms for this crime range between 30 and 40 years.
Jocic, also known as Joca Amsterdam, was arrested in his villa in Belgrade's elite Dedinje neighbourhood in late April on an international warrant for his arrest issued by the Croatian judiciary because he is believed to have been involved in the murder of the co-owner and journalist of the Croatian weekly Nacional, Ivo Pukanic.
Pukanic and his business associate Niko Franjic were killed by a scooter bomb in the car park in front of the Nacional offices in central Zagreb on 23 October 2008. Some of the executors are in custody in Croatia while some are on the run.
