I think that the government must do some efforts, or there is a danger of the blockade of the Policy Chapter No 23 (Judiciary and Fundamental Rights) which may last, Asselborn said before the start of a conference of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg on Monday.
Later on Monday ICTY Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will inform EU foreign ministers about cooperation of Croatia and Serbia with the Hague-based UN tribunal.
Brammerzt insists on delivery of 98 documents he finds to be of key importance for the trial of Croatian Generals Ante Gotovina, Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac, while Croatia says that some of those documents have never existed.
Croatia has admitted the existence of 23 requested documents but has delivered none of them so far.
Some EU member-states may be reluctant in greenlighting the said policy chapter in Croatia's EU entry talks if they are assured that Croatia's cooperation with the UN tribunal is patchy.
