The Commission congratulates Jadranka Kosor on her appointment as the Croatian Prime Minister and welcomes the approval of her cabinet by the Croatian Parliament, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn said in their joint statement.
We are confident that the new government led by Kosor will resolutely continue reforms that are needed for the country to prepare for accession to the European Union, the two officials said, according to the France Presse (AFP).
The Commission is very committed to Croatia's European prospects and to its goal of joining the EU, they said.
