Commission of inquiry on INA demands documents on company's privatisation

Autor: mses
ZAGREB, May 4 (Hina) - The parliamentary commission of inquiry entrusted with establishing facts about the privatisation of the INA oil company held its first session on Tuesday and decided to request the delivery of documents from INA, the government, the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) and the Croatian War Veterans' Fund pertaining to the privatisation of INA since 2002.

The commission also asked for documents and contracts on INA having possibly sold its shares or acquired shares in other companies.

The government is asked to deliver documents in relation to the first sale of a package of 25 percent plus one share to Hungary's MOL.

The shareholders' contract as well as its amendments should be available to the commission.

The commission requests, among other things, the insight into the contract on the divestiture of gas business from INA and its changes.

The government is expected to forward documentation about the transfer of seven percent of shares to the Veterans' Fund as well as on the sale of seven percent of shares to former and current INA employees.

The Fund is expected to forward the documentation on its decision to sell INA's shares to MOL.

HANFA is asked to deliver all documentation it possesses on INA's privatisation.

INA management and supervisory board are to deliver business plans and minutes of their meetings since 2002 as well as changes of internal rules since MOL's entry into the company.

The documents should be handed to the commission within next eight days.

The nine-member commission, established by the parliament on 23 April, will convene again later this month.
