Rasmussen , who is on his first visit to Croatia since he was appointed NATO Secretary General at the summit in Kehl and Strasbourg on 4 April 2009, is scheduled to meet top Croatian officials -- President Ivo Josipovic and Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor -- on Friday.
During the working dinner on Thursday, the ministers and the alliance's secretary general considered Croatia's cooperation with and contribution to NATO-led peace missions worldwide.
Rasmussen particularly commended Croatia's cooperation in Afghanistan and its constructive engagement in southeastern Europe, the ministry stated.
After talks with PM Kosor today , a joint meeting with the press will be held at the Croatian Government building.
Croatia joined the alliance on 1 April 2009.
