ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - The Croatian Supreme Court has upheld a Zagreb County Court verdict sentencing retired Croatian Army general Vladimir Zagorec to 7 years in prison for abuse of office and theft of jewels from a Defence Ministry safe in 2000. The Supreme Court has turned down appeals by the prosecution and by Zagorec's defence attorney, who earlier said he would file suits at the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights.
