"Today, Croatia proudly stands as a member of NATO, the European Union, the Schengen Area, and the euro area, and we continue to strengthen our strong ties with the United States through numerous initiatives – from the abolition of visas to the signing of the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation," he said.
On Facebook, he expressed his gratitude to the Croatian community for their "dedication, unity, and unconditional love for the homeland."
"Together, we will continue to preserve our heritage and strengthen the ties between Croatia and the Croatian diaspora," said the minister, who celebrated Stepinčevo with the Croatian community in New York.

He visited the Croatian-American Cultural Centre King Tomislav in Deerfield Beach, held talks with port leaders in Miami about potential cooperation between Croatian ports and one of the world's most significant maritime hubs, and visited the U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Discussions there focused on current security challenges in CENTCOM’s area of responsibility and opportunities for further enhancing cooperation between Croatia and the U.S.
