The exhibition showcases the fossilised remains of oysters that once inhabited ancient seas, providing a fascinating glimpse into the prehistoric marine life and the geological history of Croatia.
These fossils are not just remnants of the past; they tell the story of climate change, sea level fluctuations, and the evolution of marine ecosystems over millions of years.
The exhibition, which will run through 28 May, invites visitors to explore how long-extinct marine life forms, like oysters, once thrived in the region and offers a deeper understanding of the natural heritage preserved in Croatia’s geological past.
The authors of the exhibition are Marija Bošnjak, Jasenka Sremac, Nediljka Pilj Šimić and Davor Vrsaljko.
