GERMANY ARCHEOLOGY
epa05508611 A Brotlaibidol (lit.: Loaf of Bread hero), air-dried clay made in the shape of a loaf from the Early Bronze Age, which is amongst outstanding finds in the grave mound 'Bornhoeck', is held up by the archeology student Desere Friese at Rassnitz, Germany, 24 August 2016. The Bronze Age chieftain's grave has a probability of being principally designed as the 'Vater der Himmelsscheibe von Nebra' (lit.: father of the Nebra Sky Disk). The grave mound has been studied since 2014 as part of training excavations in collaboration with the Martin Luther University of Halle. The tumulus with a diameter of 65 meters and a height of about 15 meters dates back to the Bronze Age, with a wooden grave chamber and was the earliest of those discocvered in the 19th century.
