epa10214628 Arabic coffee is being prepared to be served freely to visitors during a Mocha-coffee Fair ahead of International Coffee Day, in Sana'a, Yemen, 29 September 2022. International Coffee Day is commemorated annually on 01 October to promote fair trade coffee and to raise awareness for the plight of the coffee growers around the world. The Mocha-coffee Fair was launched in Sana'a for three days, displaying different kinds of fresh and roasted local coffee beans and ground coffee as well as free cups of coffee served to visitors. Coffee traders in Yemen are trying to reignite the Arabic coffee trade despite tough competition from other coffee producers, including Brazil and Ethiopia. Yemen is the original country for Arabic coffee and home of internationally-known Mocha coffee which is famous for its delicious taste and high quality. EPA/YAHYA ARHAB
