Acting Governor of the Kursk Region Alexey Smirnov stated that the situation in the region remains difficult with the Ukrainian Armed Forces currently in control of 28 settlements, home to around 2,000 people. According to Smirnov, some 121,000 people have been so far evacuated from the Kursk region. About 10,000 residents of the Kursk region are in 171 temporary accommodation points in 24 regions of Russia.
