At least 15 Police officers and several other civilians were killed in attacks on two Orthodox churches, two synagogues and a traffic police station on 23 June, the head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov reported. The Dagestan National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) has reported that five attackers were killed. The Committee is currently engaged in operational efforts to apprehend the remaining attackers and their aides.
