Romanian President Iohannis announced on 13 June that he appointed PSD (Social Democratic Party) party leader Marcel Ciolacu as prime minister-designate to form a new government team. The ruling coalition (National Coalition for Romania) formed by the PSD (Social Democratic Party), PNL (National Liberal Party) and UDMR (Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania) parties in 2021 agreed a political protocol to rule by rotating the Prime Ministers. Leader of the Social Democratic Party Marcel Ciolacu was until now the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament. BUKUREŠT, 4. srpnja 2024. (Hina/Reuters) - Rumunjska vladajuća koalicija lijevih socijaldemokrata i liberala desnog centra suglasila se da će se predsjednički izbori održati 24. studenoga i 8. prosinca, s parlamentarnim izborima između toga, rekli su u četvrtak.
