epaselect epa04415808 A Palestinian stands on top of the ruins of his house in Al-Shejaeiya neighbourhood, in the east of Gaza City, 24 September 2014. Indirect Israeli-Palestinian negotiations on a long-term Gaza truce started in Cairo on 23 September, days before the expiry of a one-month truce that temporarily ended 50 days of deadly cross-border fighting. The talks were delayed for several hours after the Palestinian delegation on their way to the meeting briefly returned to their hotel to protest the killing by Israel of the two alleged abductors of three Israeli teens. The abduction and killing of the three teens had sparked the July-August Israel-Gaza war. Over three months after the teens were snatched from a West Bank hitchhiking spot and shot, the two suspected abductors - Amer Abu Aisha and Marwan Qawasmeh - were tracked down in Hebron, the largest Palestinian city in the southern West Bank. The two were killed in an exchange of fire, an Israeli military spokesperson said. EPA/MOHAMMED SABER
