Presenting the project, Health Minister Milan Kujundzic said that 60% of the money would be invested in new, sophisticated equipment, and 40% in the remodelling of the units.
The new units are expected to be opened by the summer of next year.
Kujundzic said this would be a major change for the better for the hospital in terms of service accessibility, quality and efficiency and that it would contribute to reducing waiting lists for specialist examinations.
Remodelling work will cost HRK 19.3 million, while equipment for the two day hospitals and the day surgery will cost HRK 28.8 million. HRK 1.5 million will be spent on promoting accessibility for persons with disabilities and on promoting religious tolerance, it was said.
