ZAGREB, Nov 26 (Hina) - Just a few months after the unforgettable welcome of World Cup football silver medalists, Croatians turned out in Zagreb's main square on Monday to welcome the national tennis team after it won the Davis Cup title in Lille, France on Sunday.

This is the second time Croatia's tennis team has won the Davis Cup after they defeated France 3-1 over the weekend.

Croatia's national team arrived at the Franjo Tudjman airport from France and were taken in a specially decorated bus to Zagreb's main square for the central celebration, where they were welcomed by cheering fans.

Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic thanked the team and said that they "paid France back for Moscow."

Later the team will be received by President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic who travelled to Lille and cheered them on. The president is expected to decorate the team players and the support team.

"The President will decorate the players and members of the support team of Croatia's national tennis team, for their exceptional achievement and for promoting sports and Croatia's international reputation and winning the Davis Cup," the Office of the President said.
