Draganja won the silver medal in men's 50 metres freestyle race at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece with a time of 21.94, the sixth best time ever.
For Berkeley, he won eight NCAA National championships, 12 conference titles and his time in the men's 50 m freestyle is the fastest in the university's history.
Draganja was born in Split in 1983. He also competed in the Olympics in Sydney in 2000 and Beijing in 2008.
In European and world championships between 2006 and 2009, he won two golds and four silvers.
