ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - The national union of central and local government employees (SSSH) warned on Thursday that the too large number of pensioners and their age structure were not only due to unfavourable labour market trends during the 1990s war, ownership transformation and economic crisis, but also due to the fact that government agencies and institutions are turning working-age people into pensioners by force of law as well as by unlawful and restrictive application of the relevant laws.
