ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - The government offered to raise the base wage by 2% as of 1 January and by 1% as of 1 July, but the unions flatly rejected the offer because it in no way satisfies the needs of public service employees, the leader of the Association of Croatian Trade Unions, Vilim Ribic, said after a meeting in the Ministry of Labour and Pension System on Thursday.
