Adventure Race Croatia, to start at a location that has not yet been disclosed, will involve 350 kilometres of trekking, cycling, sea and river kayaking, rope sliding and navigation without real rest or supporting logistics.
This demonstration race will begin at 8 pm at a location that will be disclosed to its participants only three hours before the start.
After a brief orientation, the competing teams will sit in their kayaks and row into the sunset to the foot of Mt Velebit, which they will start to climb in the complete dark. They will trek, kayak or bike the next 300 kilometres divided into 19 sections that include high peaks, deep canyons, dark caves, clear rivers and the moody sea.
The fastest competitors are expected at the finish in the early hours of Saturday, September 22.
Adventure Race Croatia 2018 is part of the Adventure Race World Series calendar and is one of only four demonstration races this year and the only such race in Europe.
