ZAGREB, Aug 19 (Hina) - The Emergency Medical Service is recording an increase in the number of interventions during the tourism season and in the period from June 15 to August 5, additional teams on duty on Croatia's roads conducted 1,513 interventions and attended to 1,585 patients.
In that period, 270 patients were transferred via air during a total of 242 interventions, Maja Bojic of the Croatian Institute for Emergency Medicine has said.

Bojic said that due to high traffic flows and often excessive speed, since June 15 to date, 24 people lost their lives on Croatian roads.
