This is the first Class LR PC6 polar ship to be produced in the world and will satisfy the requirements of the Lloyd Register for this type of vessel, Brodosplit reported.
The ship is 108 metres long and 18 metres wide, and it will be able to accommodate 196 passengers in 85 cabins. It will have a crew of 70 and travel at 15 knots per hour.
The entire ship and all its technical solutions are the work of Brodosplit's engineers and it will confirm the dock's key role on the list of technical competencies as well as improve its competitiveness.
I am very pleased with the quality of the ship, which is already quite equipped. Our team has an excellent cooperation with the shipyard and the ship will receive its first passengers for polar cruises in June next year, the owner of Oceanwide Expeditions, Wynand von Gessel, said at the launch.
