Programmes on the occasion of Europe Day, observed in Zagreb and other Croatian towns on May 7-13, were organised by the EC Representation in Croatia in cooperation with Zalac's ministry, the Foreign Ministry and the European Parliament Office in Croatia.
The programme in Zagreb's Europe Square includes open air film screenings as part of the European Commission's #EUandME campaign. The five films, directed by eminent European directors, including Croatia's Dalibor Matanic, show how the rights and privileges which EU citizens have enhance their lives.
The films are aimed at initiating talk on the influence the EU has on the everyday lives of people aged 17-35, focusing on some of the EU's greatest values such as mobility, digital technology, skills and doing business, sustainability and rights.
