The HRK 200 million available, including European Commission's grants, budget funds and for the first time EU funds, finally sends a clear message about the readiness to make this much needed social change, says Divjak.
Divjak also commented on the positive international reviews for the French language, technical culture and mathematics curricula. "Those who deserve most credit for this are teachers across the country because they are the ones to decide if this reform will become a reality, which is why in the coming period we will put emphasis on teacher training, live and on-line," she said.
The mathematics curriculum was reviewed by Slovenia's National Education Institute, the French language curriculum was reviewed by Institut francais de Croatie, and the technical education curriculum by the Finnish National Agency for Education, the ministry said.
The reviewers of the mathematics curriculum said that the curriculum was well written and clear and that learning outcomes fully complied with European and global recommendations for mathematics.
