Author: Hari Alfeo

ZAGREB, Nov 18 (Hina) - More than 200 cats of 18 breeds from five countries, including Croatia's most awarded Maine Coon tomcat Grga, will be shown at an international cat show in Zagreb on Saturday and Sunday on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the  Association of Croatian Felinological Organisations (SFDH).

Aside from all parts of Croatia, the cats will come from Slovenia, Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic. They will be judged by six judges. The show at West Gate Shopping City will be held from noon to 9 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

The Croatian Maine Coon Grga, owned by Gordana Baransic of Zagreb, has participated in 86 international cat shows in Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Netherlands as well as four world exhibitions, resulting in 41 victories in Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as the prestigious Distinguished Show Merit and Distinguished Variety Merit titles.

In the first 25 years of its activity, the SFDH has organised 180 international cat shows, of which the most important was the one held in Zagreb in 2012 at which over 1,000 cats from 34 countries were shown.
