HIZ president Darinko Bago said HIZ was interested in having partner relations with CRANE that would result in well-being for everyone coming up with new ideas.
"We are interested in cooperation with startups that are set up with CRANE's help. Such startups have newly created product value and their products, with a little investment, are ready for the global market. In order to stimulate the participation of startups in HIZ activities, companies which express interest and apply for HIZ membership, and in which official CRANE members have invested, will have minimum monthly fees in the first year of membership," Bago said.
The cooperation will also include working on solutions so that Croatia and the US can sign a double taxation avoidance agreement. Bago said this was very important in the area in which business angels operate as the cheapest and most flexible capital comes from the US. He said US capital would not come to Croatia if taxes had to be paid in both countries.
"In the Croatian economy, some of the biggest results come from ICT companies. How can they achieve global results without strong and cheap capital behind them?" Bago said.
CRANE president Davorin Stetner said most of the startups in which business angels invested were export-oriented.
