The average price of a square metre of a new flat in Zagreb was HRK 11,770 or 3.4% more than in H1 2016, while one square metre of a newly built flat elsewhere in the country was HRK 10,315 or 0.4% more.
When data on prices of socially-subsidised housing construction are added to this, the average price of a new flat was HRK 10,338 per square metre or 1.6% more than in H1 2016.
The average price of socially-subsidised flats in H1 was HRK 8,118, 4.7% more than in H1 2016.
According to DZS data, in H1 1,099 new flats were sold - 439 in Zagreb and 660 in other cities. Of the total number of flats sold, 240 were from the socially-subsidised housing construction scheme and 859 were sold by companies and other legal persons.
By comparison, in H1 2016 1,348 new flats were sold, of which 630 in Zagreb and 718 elsewhere in the country.
