The presentation at the range was attended by Croatian Defence Minister Damir Krsticevic and British Ambassador Andrew Dalgleish, among others. The exercise focused on medical assistance in situations with many injured with various injuries.
"This is one more proof of the partnership and good cooperation between Croatia and the United Kingdom," said Krsticevic. He said the UK was one of Croatia's most significant European allies and partners in defence and security, and that training and developing new capabilities with partner armed forces was essential for the development of the Croatian Armed Forces.
Dalgleish said it was a great pleasure to see soldiers from the two countries together in the field, offering medical assistance. We already have very developed bilateral military relations but such exercises, when soldiers are in action together, raise those relations to another level and show their strength, he added.
The Sava Star 17 military exercise has been held since 2013 and will be until 2020.
In February, the Croatian and UK defence ministries signed a memorandum of understanding to improve defence and security cooperation.
