Vila Vista Zamask in Istria won the Best Unique Spot Holiday Home Award, Vila Sreser on the Peljesac peninsula took the Best Holiday Home Beach House Award, Vila Falcon Rook in Konavle captured the Best Family Friendly Holiday Home Award, while the Best Health and Wellness Holiday Home went to Vila Vadediji near Zminj in Istria.
The awards were presented at a ceremony in Brussels on Thursday evening.
Croatia emerged as the absolute winner by receiving awards in four out of eight categories, the HGK said.
Croatia nominated its candidates for the first time given that it joined the EHHA through the HGK Association for Family Tourism only this year.
Croatia had 12 finalists out of 64 from 18 European countries. Only the United Kingdom had more finalists than Croatia and its holiday homes won three awards.
"This is a great success for Croatian family accommodation and confirmation that this sector is developing in the right direction," said Danijela Cavlovic, deputy head of the Association for Family Tourism.
Cavlovic, who collected the awards on behalf of the Croatian winners, said that the number of facilities providing family accommodation in Croatia surpassed 90,000 this year.
