Participants are invited to make sand sculptures at two venues: the 3-km-long sandy Queen’s Beach in the Nin lagoon and the Zdrijac Beach, another Caribbean-style sandy beach in that town near the city of Zadar.
This sand art festival begins at 7 am and the jury will start assessing the modelled sand figures at 11 am.
The festival under the motto" "Festival of sand - magic that occurs and disappears" ensues afar the town of Nin recently organised a unique salt festival
The salt festival is held in Nin’s salt pans where salt is still produced in a traditional way and hand harvested from the sea.
