Those 2,325 people with the first name Ivan thus set a new record as the previous record in this category was held by Mohammeds. As many as 1,096 Mohammeds gathered as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival in the United Arab Emirates on 10 February 2005.
The gathering of Ivans was organised by two associations of descendants of people who used to live in Kupres, central Bosnia and Herzegovina, The associations thanked Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic for her support.

As for the female names, the most common name was Marija, and the other names among the most widespread female names were Ana, Ivana, Katarina, Nada, Dragica, Ljubica, Vesna and Marina, according to the DZS information from the 2011 census.
