Labour and Pension System Minister Marko Pavic said on Saturday Croatia would increase the labour force import quota in the construction sector by 2,000 permits because of a shortage of Croatian workers in that sector.
The minister said this would be done so as to help the construction sector complete the investments already launched.
Other sectors will be analysed separately, Pavic said.
The total annual quota for hiring foreign workers in Croatia in 2017 is 7,026 working permits, of which 2,080 are in the construction sector.
