Copenhagen is first according to the number of cyclists in everyday traffic (35%), followed by Amsterdam (32%), Berlin (13.%), Ljubljana (12%) and Helsinki (11%).
Eurobarometer says cycling to work or for any other daily task is uneven in the EU. For example, one-third of Dutch citizens cycle to work or use a bike every day, while this is not common in Cyprus, Malta and Portugal.
Zagreb has over 200,000 active cyclists, 562 bicycle parking stations in public spaces and over 300 km of bikeways, the city administration says, adding that every new road in the capital is built with cycle lanes.
