Prices of road tolls go up

Author: Roberta Mlinarić

ZAGREB, July 1 (Hina) - A 10% increase in road toll prices on motorways operated by the HAC and ARZ companies will be in force as of July 1 and last until the end of September.

This means that the motorway toll for motorcycles and passenger cars travelling along the motorway section from Zagreb to Split will cost HRK 200 instead of 181 while the road toll for the section Zagreb-Rijeka will be HRK 77 instead of HRK 70.

The road toll for the motorway section from Zagreb to Gorican, in the north of the country, will cost HRK 47, HRK 3 more than in periods other than the summer season, while the Zagreb-Lipovac motorway toll will increase HRK 13 to HRK 141.

Road tolls for buses, trucks and campers will remain the same as during the rest of the year.

The increase in prices of road tolls for motorways operated by the HAC and ARZ comes after the two operators in early April increased road tolls by an average 4.4%.

Seasonal road toll increases during periods of increased traffic are a measure used in the financial restructuring of road sector companies.
