The number of the monitors is not yet final.
To date, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) has reported that it will have 6,097 observers, the Social Democratic party (SDP) follows with 550, and the Croatian People's Party (HNS) has 361 observers registered to monitor the polls on its behalf. Furthermore, there will be 307 observers on behalf of the Bridge party etc.
Independent candidates will also send their observers.
Also, 137 observers will monitor the election on behalf of the NGO "In the Name of the Family".
The State Electoral Commission stated on Thursday that there would be 22 foreign observers coming from seven countries to monitor Croatia's local polls.
