The project is financially backed by the French Embassy. Project coordinator Francois Lerin said students would have ten fields of learning all over Europe, one being the Dalmatian islands, where they will spend three weeks doing research.
Ambassador Philippe Meunier said the project was part of broader cooperation and projects the embassy was implementing in Croatia.
"Croatia and France cooperate not only in agriculture but science and education as well. The subject matter of small islands is very important. This Thursday, a similar conference on small islands, their significance and importance, will be held in Paris," he said.
Local Action Group 5 head and national coordinator Marija Roglic said the project would revitalise and valorise farmland on Dalmatian islands.
